This policy explains how New Punjab Coaches Ltd, trading as NP Coaches ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal data when you use np-coaches.co.uk, book travel, request a quote or use our services. We are the data controller and process personal data under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Contact and enquiry data — your name, email, phone number and information you provide when contacting us, requesting a quote or reporting lost property.
- Booking data — journey, passenger and payment-confirmation details needed to provide travel.
- Payment data — Stripe processes card payments; we do not store full card details.
- Technical and analytics data — device and browser information, referring site, pages viewed, interactions and approximate location. Google Analytics is used only after you consent. We deliberately send page paths without query strings and do not intentionally send form entries, booking details or other directly identifying information to Analytics.
How and why we use information
- To provide travel and services you request — performance of a contract.
- To answer enquiries, improve our services and protect the site — legitimate interests.
- To meet safety, licensing and accounting duties — legal obligation.
- To measure website use with Google Analytics 4 — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Google services
After analytics consent, the Google tag loads Google Analytics 4 and Google provides us with usage reports. Google Search Console provides aggregated information about how the site appears in Google Search and does not require us to place an analytics cookie on your device. Sharing and international processing
We share data only with providers needed to operate our services, including Directus hosting, Stripe, our email provider, Google (where you consent to Analytics), and school-ticketing providers, or with authorities where law requires. We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where this happens we require an approved transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for its purpose or legal obligations. Analytics reports follow our Google Analytics retention settings; analytics cookies can remain on a device for up to two years unless you withdraw consent or delete them. See our Cookie Policy.
Your rights and choices
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable. Use the site's Cookie settings control to withdraw analytics consent. To exercise a data right, email [email protected]. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
